The Hydrating Serum A31 is suitable for all skin types. It is particularly well-suited for dehydrated skin.

The texture of the Hydrating Serum A31 is a water-based gel that absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy finish.

4% Hyaluronic Acid:
This serum combines four forms of hyaluronic acid with complementary molecular weights (from 15–20 kDa to 1,500–2,000 kDa) to hydrate the skin at multiple levels.

The smallest fractions penetrate deep into the epidermis and help strengthen the skin’s water reserves by stimulating the activity of fibroblasts involved in the synthesis of the skin’s own (endogenous) hyaluronic acid.

The intermediate forms improve skin suppleness by increasing the water content of the stratum corneum, which causes the corneocytes to swell and reduces the spaces between cells. As a result, the skin appears smoother and fine lines are diminished.

The high molecular weight forms remain on the surface and create a protective film that helps limit transepidermal water loss. This combination of different forms of hyaluronic acid provides the skin with comprehensive hydration that is both immediate and long-lasting.

2% Pro-Vitamin B5:
Pro-vitamin B5, or panthenol, complements the action of hyaluronic acid by strengthening the hydrolipidic film on the skin’s surface. It is also absorbed by the epidermis and then converted into pantothenic acid, that is, vitamin B5, a molecule involved in the synthesis of fatty acids and lipids that make up the skin’s lipid barrier. As a result, this barrier is better protected against dehydration.
