Gentle Resurfacing Serum

The non-uniform and dull complexion may be due to the accumulation of dead skin on the surface of the epidermis. This lactic acid serum removes dead skin for a smoother, more even skin tone. (Please read the precautions before use).

  • Precautions

    Lactic acid serum contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that can increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and in particular the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen, wear sun protective clothing and limit sun exposure when using this product and for one week afterwards. Avoid contact with eyes, in case of contact rinse with plenty of clean water. If you feel uncomfortable, discontinue use of the lactic acid serum.

    Lactic acid 10% :

    Lactic acid is known for its exfoliating effect on the superficial layers of the skin. This AHA helps eliminate dead skin cells from the epidermis to make facial skin smoother, brighter and more uniform. This molecule, which is larger than the glycolic acid molecule, will penetrate less coldly into the epidermis and will therefore be less irritating than the latter. Lactic acid is therefore a good alternative to skin that has not tolerated glycolic acid products.

    Acerola extract :

    Acerola extract is known for its antioxidant virtues, which help combat the free radicals responsible for dull complexion.

How to apply the lactic acid serum?

Apply 3 to 4 drops of your lactic acid serum to the face in the evening only. Do not use in the morning, do not expose yourself to the sun after application and limit sun exposure for one week afterwards. First uses may cause slight redness while the skin gets used to the molecule. These effects fade after several uses. We recommend using the lactic acid serum for 4 weeks to see the effects.

Is this serum suitable for your skin type?

Lactic acid serum is suitable for oily, dry and combination skin. Less abrasive than glycolic acid, lactic acid is better tolerated by the skin. However, we recommend applying the product to the hollow of the elbow for 24 to 48 hours to see if it causes any reaction.

How often is it recommended to use this product? Nightly or every other night?

This serum can be applied nightly or every other night, depending on existing products in the routine and skin type.

Should the product be rinsed off, or can a moisturizer be applied immediately after?

Serums are not rinsed off, so a cream can be applied once the serum is absorbed.

Is it advisable to exfoliate before using a peel?

It is not recommended, as it may increase skin sensitivity. The serum already provides chemical exfoliation.

Is it possible to combine this serum with the niacinamide serum?

Yes, it is possible.

Is it possible to use this serum alongside the Exfoliating Serum Glycolic Acid 10% or the Imperfections Serum with Bakuchiol 1%?

These two serums should not be used together, as noted in the usage precautions. It can be combined with bakuchiol.

Can this serum be applied nightly and only to the T-zone?

This product can be applied to the entire face every evening.
