Function: Antioxidant, denaturing agent, hair coloring agent, masking agent, fragrance agent.
Origin: Synthetic.
Concentration allowed by European regulations : Up to 5 % in finished cosmetic products as an oxidation dye for hair coloring. Up to 0.5 % in hair lotions and shampoos.
Where to find it / them? : Hair dyes, coloring creams, hair lotions.
Risks to health: Suspected endocrine disruptor, potential allergen (weak), potential skin, eye and lung irritant.
Risks to the environment : Aquatic ecotoxicity.
