Commonly known as: Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil (INCI).
Botanical name: Pentaclethra macroloba.
Extraction process: First cold pressure of the dried seeds resulting from the organic farming, followed by filtration and deodorization.
Family: Fabaceae.
Part of the plant extracted: Seeds.
Location: North of Brazil, Guyana and some regions of Central America.
Flowering: In March - April.
Provenance, origin: Brazil.
Phytochemical composition: Polyunsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid, linolenic acid), monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid), saturated fatty acids (arachidic acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, behenic acid, lignoceric acid, palmitic acid), vitamin E, phytosterols (Stigmasterol).
Sensorial properties: Appearance: pasty to semi-liquid oil or oily liquid (depending on the temperature), generally cloudy and partially crystallized; Color: pale yellow to yellow-brown; Odor: vegetable with notes of peanut and roasted coffee; Touch: rich on application, unctuous and silky, then penetrates quickly.
