When and How Often To Use Aloe Skin Care?

Aloe vera is a plant that thrives in dry, tropical climates. Its tough leaves contain a gel rich in vitamins, enzymes, amino acids and lipids. Here you'll find all our advice on when and how often you can use your aloe vera moisturizer for face and body, your aloe vera face gel, or any other skin care product enriched with this compound.

Aloe Vera in Cosmetics.

Aloe vera is a succulent plant that grows abundantly in dry, hot regions of the world, and has been cultivated since ancient times by various great civilizations, notably for cosmetic purposes. Ancient traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, followed by Greek, Egyptian and African medicine, have used this plant since its origins to treat and protect the skin. According to legend, even Cleopatra used it regularly to enhance her beauty. The mechanical pressing of its leaves extracts a gel that has been recognized for years for softening the skin, healing skin lesions and, more generally, accelerating the healing process.

In Europe, aloe vera in all its forms (INCI names: Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Polysaccharides, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water) is authorized for use in organic cosmetics under the COSMOS standard. It soothes inflammations such as sunburn, moisturizes the skin and smoothes wrinkles. Applied to the hair, it cleanses the scalp, fights dandruff and moisturizes hair to prevent split ends.

The aloe vera moisturizing toner for the face with hyaluronic acid and the purifying toner with salicylic acid can be used morning and night as part of a beauty routine, just after cleansing and before serum and/or cream. The same goes for the aloe vera face gel cleanser with an exfoliating effect, which helps to unclog pores while moisturizing the skin. Because of the presence of pigments, the tinted serum enriched with vitamin C and aloe vera is best applied in the morning, before the make-up step.

Aloe Skin Care Products.

Because of its film-forming properties, it can also be used in makeup foundations and even mascaras.
