Heat Rash
Definition:
Minor skin lesions are common and not serious. They tend to disappear naturally within a day or two.
Internal and external causes:
Excessive perspiration.
How to reduce or eliminate:
Hydrate by drinking water and applying a light-textured moisturizing cream; use aloe vera gel for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties; consult a doctor if heat rashes are accompanied by pain or swelling in the irritated area, swollen lymph nodes, or even chills or fever.
Preventative steps to take:
Avoid synthetic materials when it's hot; opt for cotton or linen textiles; refrain from wearing overly tight clothing; avoid engaging in physical activity under intense heat.
