In short, beard oil.

This treatment is typically used to improve the appearance and/or stimulate the growth of beard hair. Most often, a beard oil contains two types of ingredients: vegetable oils to nourish and soothe the skin, and essential oils to provide fragrance and also limit the growth of bacteria. Some beard oils are enriched with active ingredients to stimulate hair growth and thus fill in any potential gaps. These may includebasil extract and/orcastor oil.

A beard oil serves multiple functions. It helps tosoften and tame the hair, limit bacterial growth, moisturize the skin, and reduce potential itching related to shaving, while also providing a pleasant fragrance for a true moment of well-being. Those with dry skin, who tend to have a thick and brittle beard, can apply this type of care daily, morning and evening. However, those with combination to oily skin should prefer an application frequency of once a day or even once every two days.

Beard Oil: Instructions for Use.

Having previously defined the frequency of use, let's now turn our attention to its method of application:

  • Firstly, thebeard oil is preferably applied to a clean beard. Beards can easily accumulate dust and dirt. It is important to clean them regularly, especially before applying a treatment. Moreover, cleaning unclogs the pores, allowing the treatment to deeply penetrate the hair follicles. Cleaning the beard will also help to sanitize the skin underneath. In this regard, you could, for example, use ourpurifying cleansing gel. Concentrated with purifying active ingredients like zinc PCA, this cleansing gel sanitizes the skin, regulates sebum production, and limits the development of imperfections.

Note : Consider removing the dead skin cells present on the surface of the skin with a beard scrub, and thus prevent the development of ingrown hairs under the beard, cleanse the skin and stimulate hair growth.

  • Only once the beard is clean and dry can beard oil be applied over it. The bottles of beard oil typically contain a dropper for measuring the amount of treatment to apply. Depending on the length of the beard, pour a few drops into the palm of your hands, then warm the substance by rubbing them together. Finally, carefully apply it along the beard hairs from roots to tips. Do not hesitate to run your fingers through the hairs to deeply penetrate the treatment.

Tip: The brushing step is not mandatory, but we recommend accompanying the application of beard oil with a few strokes of a beard brush or comb. This precaution is necessary, especially if the hairs are long. This way, you can better distribute the care along the lengths and to the tips. In this manner, the beard will be groomed and the beard oil will be evenly distributed.
