Pustules.

Definition: By definition, they are small inflammatory lesions of the skin characterized by a well-defined and circumscribed elevation of the epidermis (diameter less than 5 mm) and surmounted in their center by a white or yellow purulent liquid. They are often of infectious origin and are related to the aggravation of already existing papules. Pustules can develop on any part of the body, but they most often form on the back, shoulders, chest, and face.
Internal and external causes: Hormonal imbalance/change (menstrual cycles, unsuitable contraception, menopause…), insect bites, certain pathologies (Behçet's disease, pustular psoriasis, acne, smallpox…), allergic reaction.
How to reduce or eliminate: Consult a dermatologist; dermatological treatments (laser, electric scalpel, liquid nitrogen, etc.); prescribe a local treatment based on benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, retinoids, or antibiotics; avoid pressing or popping them.
Preventative steps to take: Regularly clean makeup brushes, sponges, and makeup removal pads; use non-comedogenic skin care products; exfoliate your skin with a gentle peel once a week; wash your skin thoroughly; avoid constantly touching your face.
