Tinted serum, what is it and what are its benefits for the skin?
Sitting halfway between a foundation and a BB cream, the tinted serum is a hybrid formula that aligns with the trend of makeup-skincare. It unifies and reveals the natural radiance of the epidermis. With its light and buildable coverage, its finish smooths minor skin irregularities without suffocating it. Moreover, it contains active ingredients typically found in traditional serums. Aloe vera, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, squalane... These are just some of the active ingredients that can be found in a tinted serum. These ingredients provide several benefits to the skin: antioxidants like vitamin C help fight against free radicals generated by various external aggressions (pollution, smoking...), hydrating agents like hyaluronic acid and aloe vera help to plump up the epidermis, and nourishing ingredients like squalane strengthen the hydrolipidic film.
Note : Certain tinted serums may be enriched with sun filters to provide protection from the sun's UV rays. However, these filters generally thicken the formulas and the formulas resemble more of tinted creams.
When is the best time of day to use a tinted serum?
Generally, the tinted serum is applied in the morning, before powder, blush, and sunscreen. Prior to this, cleanse your face with a product suitable for your skin type. Rich in active ingredients, this product can replace your usual serum, thus saving you a few minutes during your morning beauty routine. Its light texture also makes it a relevant product to revive and even out your complexion at any time of the day.
The Typology Tinted Serum.
Formulated without nanoparticles and without silicones, the tinted serums are non-occlusive and do not clog pores. They are composed of 99% natural origin ingredients. Enriched with vitamin C for skin radiance and with aloe vera for skin hydration, they provide light coverage and even out the skin tone. Moreover, these 2-in-1 products exclude fragrance, nanoparticles, and silicones that often feature in the formulation of traditional foundations and can promote the appearance of imperfections. Each tinted serum can match a wide spectrum of skin tones. The six shades of our serums have been developed according to the FITZPATRICK phototype scale.
