The purifying mask is a type of skincare treatment focused on deep cleansing of the skin, particularly intended for combination to oily skin types, as well as blemished skin that requires a sanitizing and sebum-regulating action. Indeed, the purifying mask will help to absorb the excess sebum responsible for shiny areas, to unclog and tighten the pores, and to reduce imperfections (blackheads, enlarged pores, etc...) to achieve a skin with a visibly smoother and mattified appearance.

What are the benefits of a charcoal face mask?
Highly utilized during antiquity, charcoal is packed with benefits for the skin and is frequently found in facial masks. It is particularly recognized for its absorbing power. Indeed, charcoal is capable of absorbing excess sebum that makes the skin oily, thereby reducing the appearance of pores and the skin's shiny aspect (matifying effect). Moreover, charcoal-based skincare products are effective for deeply cleansing the skin and unclogging pores, which are congested by impurities, bacteria, and dead cells. Thanks to its detoxifying, sanitizing, and purifying virtues, charcoal skincare products thus limit the appearance of blackheads and pimples, revealing a more radiant skin. Additionally, this ingredient helps to combat skin aging due to its antioxidant content. Therefore, this natural plant-based active ingredient is particularly recommended for combination to oily skin or skin prone to imperfections.
Besides charcoal, our purifying face mask contains two other key active ingredients:
Thestinging nettle, with a high content of trace elements (sulfur, zinc, and copper), possesses purifying virtues, allows to tighten the dilated pores, limit the appearance of imperfections thanks to its anti-inflammatory virtues and helps to regulate sebum production ;
Thegreen clay helps toabsorb and eliminate excess sebum, much like charcoal. It also has healing, soothing, and softening properties.
This beauty treatment actively works to dislodge impurities and refine the appearance of pores. Thus, blemishes, imperfections, or blackheads are eliminated, leaving behind clean, radiant, clear, and purified skin.
Charcoal Mask: For What Type of Skin?
Thanks to its numerous benefits, the charcoal mask helps to regulate sebum secretion, dry out blemishes, and purify the skin, making it a great ally for skin prone to imperfections or with an acne tendency, and for combination to oily skin types.
If you have dry and/or sensitive skin, there are no contraindications. However, it is advised to use it sparingly, as this treatment could potentially harm the skin's natural protection and further weaken the epidermis. A facial mask should cater to the specific needs of your skin. It can be hydrating, regenerating or purifying depending on whether you have issues with skin dryness, dull complexion, blemishes, or irregularities.
How to use the charcoal face mask?
This type of treatment should be applied in a thick layer once or twice a week for combination to oily skin types and every 10 days for dry and sensitive skin types. It should also be performed preferably in the evening after your exfoliation for better effectiveness. To do this, take the equivalent of a walnut-sized amount of product and spread it on clean, dry skin, either with a brush for even distribution or directly with your fingers. Leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse your face with warm water using circular motions for a gentle exfoliating action thanks to its clay-like texture without risking damaging the epidermis. This purifying face mask helps to rid the skin of dirt that tends to dull the complexion and clog the pores. The pores are then unclogged and the skin is mattified and purified.
