Super Lavandin Essential Oil

Commonly known as: Lavandula Hybrida Herb Oil (I.N.C.I.), Lavandula x burnatii, Lavandula x hybrida, Hybrid Lavender, Lavandin super acetate, Sweet Lavandin, Lavandin abrial varieties, Lavandin grosse, Lavandula × intermedia Emeric ex Loisel. super clone.
Botanical name: Superior Lavandula Burnatii.
Extraction process: Distillation by steam stripping.
Family: Lamiaceae.
Part of the plant extracted: Flowering tops.
Location: Originally from the Mediterranean basin, it is now also cultivated in Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine...).
Flowering: From June to the end of September.
Provenance, origin: Spain.
Phytochemical composition: Linalyl acetate, linalool, terpinen-4-ol, borneol, lavandulyl acetate, camphor, 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), D-limonene, geraniol, coumarin, alpha-terpineol, beta-farnesene, geranyl acetate, myrcene, cis-beta-ocimene, trans-beta-ocimene, beta-caryophyllene.
Sensorial properties: Appearance: Clear, mobile liquid; Color: Light yellow to orange; Scent: Characteristic, rustic, slightly camphoraceous.
Physical characteristics: Density: 0.880 - 0.896; Soluble in alcohol; Insoluble in water; Refractive index: 1.456 - 1.465.
Benefits: Soothing, regenerative, fragrant, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory.
Concerns: All skin types, especially irritated skin; All hair types, particularly irritated scalps and/or those prone to itching; Recommended for sunburns.

Usage

Facial Care (mists, creams, shaving gels); Body Care (lotions, balms, oils, scrubs, after-sun care); Hygiene (deodorants, shower gels); Hair Care (shampoos, conditioners, soothing scalp serums).

Method of Preservation

Store in an amber glass bottle, protected from light and in a temperate area. Avoid significant temperature fluctuations.

Contraindications, Usage Precautions

Potentially allergenic. It can lead to sensitization through skin contact. Indeed, certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may pose an allergy risk for some sensitive individuals when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition (according to the 7th Amendment of the European Directive on cosmetic products (2003/15/EC)): linalool and, to a lesser extent, limonene.

When applied topically, do not use on babies under 3 months old. Do not use during the first three months of pregnancy. Not recommended for individuals at risk of epilepsy. Avoid contact with the eyes.
