Find out more

Carried by sailors in the 17th century for its vitamins, Paracress is a plant that has been used for many years in Madagascar, as well as in Reunion Island, for its nutritional and medicinal benefits. Its name comes from the Malagasy word "bredy mafana" which means "hot herb" in reference to the taste of the leaves which, raw as well as cooked, are both pungent and refreshing, and provide for a few seconds an effect identical to that of an anesthesia in the mouth. In cosmetics, its extract strengthens the dermis structure and stimulates the biomechanical functions of fibroblasts, thus reducing the wrinkled appearance of the skin.
