Function: Masking agent, plasticizing agent, solvent, perfuming agent, denaturing agent, film-forming agent, hair conditioner, hair fixing agent, viscosity control agent, emollient, emulsion stabilizer.
Origin: Synthetic.
Concentration allowed by European regulations : Not regulated. Banned in Europe (Dibutyl Phthalate).
Where to find it / them? : Hair lotions, hair serums, eaux de toilette, hydroalcoholic gels, after-shave lotions.
Risks to health: Suspected endocrine disruptor.
