Tinted balm: a balance between skincare and makeup.
What is a tinted lip balm?
The tinted balm is a product at the intersection of skincare and makeup . It's the solution to adopt for delicately coloring the lips, while nourishing them. As a balm, this care nourishes, hydrates, repairs, protects, and softens the lips. It is enriched with natural active ingredients with moisturizing and nourishing virtues, such as the hyaluronic acid, cocoa butter, coconut oil, or even jojoba oil. It can also contain soothing actives like bisabolol , calendula oil macerate or peppermint macerate .
The lips are one of the particularly delicate areas of the face and are daily exposed to external aggressions (wind, cold, sun, etc…). Moreover, the skin of the lips has few sebaceous glands, thus secretes little sebum. It is therefore necessary to protect and nourish them daily, particularly by applying a specific care product. However, in addition to protecting and nourishing the lips, this 2-in-1 care product enhances them with its delicate tint for a natural finish. Indeed, in terms of pigmentation, the tinted balm does not have the same effect as traditional lipsticks.
How to choose your tinted lip balm?
Tinted lip balms thus combine the properties of a skincare product and those of makeup. To make the right choice, it is necessary to pay attention to the ingredients they contain. Given that this product will be in direct contact with your lips and therefore near your mouth, it is important to opt for a tinted lip care product enriched with components of natural origin, and especially free of all controversial ingredients such as silicones, synthetic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, and chemical preservatives (BHA, BHT, synthetic hydrocarbons, etc...), which can be harmful to health when ingested in large quantities.
At Typology, a range of tinted lip care products has been designed to combine the properties of a classic lip moisturizing balm and those of a lipstick for their colorful aspect. Available in 5 shades, our tinted balm is 99% of natural origin and notably contains hyaluronic acid derived from wheat fermentation, peppermint macerate, and raspberry seed oil. These ingredients will protect and nourish the skin deeply, while subtly enhancing them thanks to the natural pigments it contains.
How to apply your tinted lip balm?
The tinted lip balm easily replaces lipstick, which often has a questionable and controversial formulation (heavy metals, chemical preservatives, ingredients derived from petrochemicals, etc...). To apply, place a small amount of product the size of a rice grain on the tip of your finger, then gently glide your finger along your lips. You can apply as many times as necessary, especially in case of discomfort or tightness. The tinted balm is ideal if you want to adopt a natural makeup look. Our tinted lip balm can also be used as a blush and applied to the cheeks.
