Tips for a radiant complexion.

A dull complexion is recognized by its lack of uniformity: the skin appears dull, blurred, almost a bit gray, and tends to age the face. From lack of sleep to skin aging, through stress, pollution, smoking, hormonal imbalance, or poor toxin elimination: the factors contributing to a gray complexion are numerous.How can we remedy this? Here are our tips for regaining a radiant complexion.

Utilizing antioxidant skincare treatments.

To regain a radiant complexion, incorporate a care product enriched with antioxidants into your daily beauty routine. Indeed, antioxidants are true powerhouses for your face, acting as free radical destroyers, wrinkle fillers, pigment spot faders, and radiance boosters. They provide significant benefits by preventing premature skin aging and combating cellular oxidation. By doing so, you'll effectively help the epidermis defend itself against external aggressions, preserving the youthfulness and beauty of your skin for a longer period.

In the morning and evening, after removing all traces of impurities from your face, apply the radiance face serum.Highly concentrated in Vitamin C (11%), it provides a real boost to dull and tired complexions. This treatment also contains 3% extract of Albizia Julibrissin. This Asian-origin plant revitalizes the skin. Together, these ingredients help slow down photo-aging. In the evening, finish your routine with the radiance botanical blend or the firmness & radiance complex enriched with 5 vitamins. Packed with antioxidant active ingredients, these two treatments offer both preventive and corrective action against the appearance of signs of aging and help to reveal the skin's radiance.

Performing exfoliations.

To regain a radiant complexion, it is recommended to gently exfoliate once a week. Indeed, this allows for a regular skin texture without flakes or dead cells.

We have developed a facial scrub made from micro-exfoliating grains derived from ground apricot kernels. The radiance scrub with rosehip oil and organic carrot macerate evens out the complexion and brings brightness. It is particularly suitable for dull, lackluster skin, as well as dry and uncomfortable skin.

Always hydrate your skin.

Whether it's summer or winter, hydration is crucial. The more dehydrated the skin is, the more porous it becomes to the sun's UV rays, the duller it appears, and the higher the risks of sunburn and photoaging become.

Choose moisturizing treatments according to your skin type (dry, oily, normal...) and apply them daily, morning and evening. For the face, you could, for example, use the hydrating facial serum which contains 3% hyaluronic acid. This lightweight serum absorbs quickly, allowing you to then apply the face moisturizing cream with 9 ingredients. Enriched with hyaluronic acid and organic coconut oil, it's a minimalist formula that hydrates and nourishes the epidermis. Its light and non-greasy texture is suitable for dry, normal, and combination skin, even sensitive ones.

Whether it's summer or winter, apply sunscreen.

Exposure to the sun's UV rays results in a thickening of the skin. The stratum corneum, composed of dead cells, becomes thicker. This is a natural protective phenomenon. Indeed, this thicker epidermis will better block UV rays. However, this accumulation of dead cells contributes to a dull complexion.

It is therefore recommended toapply sunscreen every dayand to reapply it regularly (every two hours) for optimal skin protection against the harmful rays of the sun, especially when the sun is at its zenith, that is, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Give preference to certain vegetable oils.

Some vegetable oils are rich in carotenoids, compounds that enhance the radiance of the complexion. This is the case with the buriti oil and the carrot macerate for example.

Ourburiti botanical blend is composed of 6 plant extracts rich in beta-carotene, including buriti oil and carrot macerate. It revives the complexion's radiance and provides an immediate subtle tan. Please note, this is not a self-tanner. Apply a few drops to the face and neck in the morning and/or evening as the final step in your usual facial care routine.

Adjusting one's diet.

Several foods contain vitamins and nutrients that act on the epidermis to revive its radiance. Therefore, favor a diet rich in the following compounds:

  • Vitamin A: Recognized for stimulating cellular regeneration and slowing skin aging, this element is primarily found in fatty fish, butter, and milk (which should still be consumed in moderation);

  • The beta-carotene (or pro-vitamin A) : This element helps to stimulate the production of melanin evenly. Consuming it prepares the skin for tanning and gives a healthy glow. Many fruits and vegetables contain it (carrot, pumpkin, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, watercress, green salad, apricot, melon, peach, mango...);

  • The vitamins C and E (or tocopherol) : These powerful antioxidants combat free radicals and also revive the skin's radiance. Vitamin E is found in fatty fish, the liver of lean fish (cod liver, monkfish) olive oil, walnut oil... Vitamin C, on the other hand, is mainly composed of citrus fruits, kiwi, blackcurrant, but also parsley and cabbage;

  • The selenium : This trace element provides a complementary action to vitamin E to protect cells from oxidation caused by free radicals. It is present in whole grains, seeds, and nuts.

Note: Foods such as deli meats or those offered in fast food restaurants are not recommended. It is wise to limit the consumption of alcoholic beverages, which contribute to the dilation of blood vessels.

Rebalancing one's lifestyle.

The skin can regain its radiance by adopting a few simple daily tips. First and foremost, hydrating the skin and the body in general is crucial. Drink frequently, as soon as you feel thirsty. Next, engage in regular physical activity. Sweating naturally eliminates toxins from the body and rejuvenates the skin. It is also recommended to get enough sleep to promote cellular renewal.
