What is "Glycine Soja Oil" and what is its utility?
What is "Glycine Soja Oil"?
The "Glycine Soja Oil" is the INCI designation for soybean vegetable oil. It can also be found under the name "Soybean Oil". It presents as a slightly yellowish liquid, very penetrating, creamy, and lightly scented. Obtained by cold pressing soybeans, the "Glycine Soja Oil" is used in the preparation of numerous cosmetic products: creams and lotions, body care products, skin care products, hair products, tonics, and makeup products.
The "Glycine Soja Oil" is used in the composition of many beauty treatments as anskin conditioning agent, emollient, moisturizer, and antioxidant. These actions are due to the numerous bio-active components contained in soybean vegetable oil: phenolic acids, flavonoids, isoflavonoids (quercetin, genistein, and daidzein), proteins, phytoestrogens, linoleic acid, essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, lecithin, vitamins (particularly vitamin E), and minerals.
What is the utility of "Glycine Soja Oil"?
"Glycine Soja Oil" is regarded as a beneficial ingredient for delaying the skin aging process and the onset of wrinkles. It possesses antioxidant properties, thereby providing protection for skin cells against free radical attacks. Indeed, with its high content of vitamin E and isoflavonoids, its antioxidant effect contributes to the neutralization of free radicals that cause premature skin aging. In fact, these compounds participate in the alteration of protein structures, which leads to skin damage (wrinkles, skin sagging, atypical pigmentation). It also induces the synthesis of collagen and elastin, responsible for the skin's flexibility and elasticity.
The "Glycine Soja Oil" is also known to prevent and treat hyperpigmentation spots. This depigmenting potential lies in its ability to inhibit the activity of certain enzymes involved in the transfer of melanin from the deep producing cells to the cells of the skin's superficial layer. Fluid, the "Glycine Soja Oil" easily penetrates the epidermis to nourish and repair it without making the skin oily. It is also used in hair care to restore shine and softness to dry and brittle hair. Indeed, the "Glycine Soja Oil" helps to maintain the hair's moisture content.Extracted from soybean seeds using gentle processes that respect the active principles of the plant, the "Glycine Soja Oil" is also used as an emollient agent in skin and hair care.
