To protect your skin while skiing, it's important to choose a cream that's suitable for your phototype. The phototype is a classification system for individuals based on their skin's reaction to UV exposure, taking into account the complexion (color) of the skin in conjunction with the color of the eyes and hair. This allows for an assessment of one's tanning ability for each skin type. To date, there are 6 identified phototypes:
Phototype I: Very fair skin with freckles that never tans in the sun but with a systematic risk of sunburn.
Phototype II : Light skin that reddens in the sun but sometimes acquires a slight tan and frequently experiences sunburn.
Phototype III : Fair to medium skin that sometimes reddens and tans gradually (light tan).
Phototype IV: Skin with a matte complexion that tans well (deep tan) with occasional sunburns during intense exposure.
Phototype V: Brown/mixed-race skin that tans easily (very dark tan) with rare sunburns.
Phototype VI: Dark skin that tans in the sun and very rarely experiences sunburn.
To take care of your skin during the winter period, you also need to know your skin type (dry, oily, combination, or other). It is then appropriate to choose suitable skincare products.
In winter, opt for a moisturizing treatment, because well-hydrated skin is better able to withstand temperature fluctuations. The goal is to recreate a lipid layer and prevent the cold from attacking the epidermis and causing redness. Our moisturizing face cream is suitable for these conditions, and is appropriate for sensitive, dry, combination, and normal skin types. However, if you have oily skin, avoid using it.
In the morning, apply a small amount to your clean, dry face, following your usual serum.
Then massage in circular motions to allow the treatment time to fully penetrate the skin.
Also, perform gentle and infrequent exfoliations. If you have oily skin, scheduling an exfoliation once a week is sufficient. However, if you have normal or dry skin, do it every 15 days. Our radiance facial scrub with rosehip oil contains organic rosehip oil and an organic carrot macerate. In addition to promoting cell renewal, this treatment unclogs pores. It smooths the skin and brings radiance to the complexion.
