Properties
Antibacterial: Slows down bacterial propagation;
Antioxidant: Protect and avoid premature degeneration of skin cells by deactivating free radicals generated by all kinds of factors (UV rays, pollution, cigarette smoke ...), property conferred by the presence of flavoids ;
Soothing, anti-inflammatory: Reduces inflammation and calms irritation because of the presence of faradiol esters;
Hydrating: Fights against skin dryness, thanks to the fatty acids which will nourish and protect the skin gently;
Protective, firming: Prevent skin slackening by inhibiting the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), enzymes responsible for degrading collagen ;
Regenerating: Promotes cellular regeneration to help the skin repair damaged areas.
Use
Face care (masks, creams, serums, lip balms, eye contour gels, make-up removers);
Body care (hand and foot creams, shower gels, lotions, balms, massage oils, sunburn balms, solid soaps);
Hair care (shampoos, conditioners, masks).
Preservation
This oily macerate is sensitive to oxidation and should therefore be kept in a cool, dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight in its amber bottle.
Contra-Indications and Precautions
The cosmetic use of the oily calendula macerate does not cause undesirable effects. However, as a precaution, people allergic to Asteraceae should seek medical advice before use. Pregnant women and young children can use it in external application. Avoid contact with the eyes.
