The Different Types of Body Wash.

Whether you have sensitive, oily or dry skin, it's essential to adapt your care products to your skin type. That's why there are different types of body wash. But, what exactly are the differences, and which is the best body wash for me?

Exfoliating Shower Gel for Combination to Oily Skin with Imperfections.

Exfoliating shower gel is a body cleanser in which exfoliating agents (glycolic acid, salicylic acid, apricot kernel micrograin, salt flakes, etc.) have been added to the basic formula. It removes all dead cells and impurities from the surface of the epidermis, boosting cell renewal and facilitating the penetration of moisturizing active ingredients applied later. By smoothing skin texture, the appearance of imperfections (blackheads, brown spots, etc.) is reduced, and the formation of ingrown hairs is limited. Finally, exfoliating shower gel also tones and firms the skin.

Combination to oily skin or skin with imperfections can be tempted by these types of body wash. Even though they exfoliate the skin, they can be used every day without fear of stripping the skin or irritating it, thanks to their low concentration of fruit acids or the fineness of its particles. However, its daily use does not mean that you don't need to use conventional body scrubs at the same time. However, exfoliating body wash is not suitable for dry, reactive or irritated skin. In fact, their exfoliating action dissolves the lipids of the hydrolipidic barrier, and the microbeads present in the product can create physical aggression (micro-lesions, etc.). Over time, skin can become drier and more sensitive.

Shower Oil for Dry Skin.

Shower oil is a lightly foaming body cleanser with a high percentage of beneficial oils, usually of plant origin, unlike other shower gels. It is appreciated for its soothing, regenerating and nourishing properties. Bath oil cleanses the body of all surface dirt, while respecting the hydrolipidic balance of the epidermis. It covers the skin with a non-greasy protective film to reduce the drying effect of hard water, comforting and calming the skin from tightness, itching, or the rubbing of clothes, and protecting the skin from external aggressions (sun, chlorine from the pool, pollution, etc.). This relipidizing cleansing oil is ideal for dry skin.

Shower Cream for Dry, Sensitive Skin.

Shower cream is a cleansing product with an unctuous, enveloping texture, rich in moisturizing and lipid-replenishing active ingredients (oils, butters, emollients, etc.). In a single step, it nourishes the skin, offsets the drying effects of hard water, and prevents the tightness felt after a shower. It leaves a protective film on the body after rinsing to shield it from environmental aggressors, while cleansing without stripping. Cream cleansers are ideal for sensitive, irritated dry skin prone to discomfort.

Hypoallergenic Shower Gel for Sensitive, Reactive and Atopic Skin.

Hypoallergenic shower gel is formulated to be more neutral, more respectful and gentler than conventional shower gel. In fact, this type of body cleansing gel contains a minimum of ingredients, and is free of all alkaline and allergenic components (soap, parabens, synthetic fragrances, alcohol, colorants, sulfates, phenoxyethanol, etc.). It cleans the skin while minimizing the risk of allergic skin reactions. These types of body wash, with a pH close to that of the skin, are a good choice to avoid aggressing the epidermis and to soothe sensitive, fragile skin prone to irritation. They protect from undesirable cutaneous effects (tingling, tightness, itching, redness, etc.).

Surgras Shower Gel for Dry, Sensitive Skin.

Surgras shower gel is a body hygiene product highly concentrated in superfatting agents such as vegetable oils, plant butters, etc… Thanks to its formulation, it deeply nourishes, softens and soothes the epidermis, while creating a protective veil on the skin after the shower with the same properties as the natural hydrolipidic film. This helps combat dryness, protect the skin from external aggressors and retain moisture. Surgras body wash is particularly suitable for sensitive, dry skin.
