Aloe Vera Gel for Dark Circles and Under Eye Bags.

Can aloe vera gel reduce dark circles and bags? In fact, it is the perfect ally. First, it helps regulate blood microcirculation. Several studies have shown a vasoconstrictor effect of aloe vera gel, without however explaining the mechanism involved. It is also suggested that the minerals of the gel would bring elasticity to the red globules, which would fluidify the blood: this last would circulate better through the body. These properties are appealing for people interested in aloe vera for dark circles due to poor blood circulation, the blue ones.

It should be noted, however, that if

the dark circles are hereditary,

it is impossible to reduce them.

In addition, aloe vera gel has a tightening effect on the skin. This property is interesting for delaying the appearance of fatty bags and dark circles, and makes aloe vera a preventive solution to these inconveniences. Glucomannan, a polysaccharide used in the composition of the gel, influences the fibroblast growth factor, TGF-β1, and stimulates cell activity and proliferation. As fibroblasts are responsible for the production of collagen and elastin, the synthesis of these molecules is increased. They participate in maintaining the structure of the skin, as well as its flexibility and elasticity. Reinforcing these fibers slows down the sliding process of fatty tissues, which is the cause of the formation of bags.

Aloe vera gel also has an antioxidant power, which allows it to delay cellular aging. It intensifies the production of metallothioneins, proteins that increase the resistance of cellular tissues to oxidative stress. In addition, it contains vitamins A, C and E which are antioxidants capable of neutralizing free radicals.

How to Apply Aloe Vera Gel?

Applying locally a treatment based on aloe vera gel or pure aloe vera gel helps reduce dark circles and puffiness, and to take advantage of all its effects on the eye contour area. Non-photosensitizing, it can be used morning and night and is safe for pregnant or nursing women.

Aloe vera gel is suitable for all skin types. Aloe Vera for dark circles or under eye bags should be applied in a small amount twice a day around the eyes. Then massage the area until the treatment is completely absorbed. This gesture also stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation and has a draining effect. A reduction in dark circles of non-hereditary origin can generally be observed after 4 weeks.

For greater effectiveness,

aloe vera gel can be

combined with hyaluronic acid.
