Kale Extract: Why Should We Incorporate it into Our Skincare Routine?
Kale extract is derived from the vegetable known as kale, also referred to as curly kale or collard. Considered a superfood, kale is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, minerals, and fiber. Consuming 60 grams of kale can meet the recommended daily intake of vitamin C. While containing a high amount of iron, protein, and omega-3, kale is also rich in beta-carotene.
Thanks to its nutritional qualities, kale is a true ally for health. However, originating from the United States, this vegetable is not easy to find in France. Moreover, the leaves of kale need to be massaged for about thirty minutes before they can be consumed. While it may be difficult to incorporate it into your diet, you can reap its benefits through various treatments. Indeed, it has become a common ingredient in skincare, nail care, and hair care products.

Rich in vitamins, kale extract is commonly used in the formulation of facial moisturizing creams, nourishing masks, and makeup removers. In light of all these properties, we have included kale extract in the formulation of our antioxidant cream, which is composed of several potent antioxidant agents derived from 100% natural sources, some of which are certified organic.
Why use this product?
This skincare product aids in regulating oxidative stress due to the active ingredients it contains. It intercepts environmental oxidizing agents that damage the skin and accelerate skin aging, making it suitable for mitigating the harmful effects of daily external aggressions (sun, pollution, smoking, etc.) and delaying the appearance of the first signs of aging. It provides great comfort to the skin, while protecting it from aging signs related to external aggressions. Moreover, its light texture melts onto the epidermis for quick absorption and hydration throughout the day.
The key ingredients?
Astaxanthin (INCI: Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract): 65 times more potent than Vitamin C, 54 times more potent than Beta-Carotene, and 14 times more potent than Vitamin E, astaxanthin is a natural antioxidant known for its powerful, unique, and proven protective action. Thanks to its 13 conjugated polyunsaturated double bonds, it can neutralize free radicals, which are high-energy species.
Red Ginseng Extract (INCI: Panax Ginseng Root Extract): Due to its content of vitamins C and E, this compound provides protective and antioxidant properties to the skin. Indeed, it helps to inhibit lipid peroxidation, caused by free radicals, which are accelerators of cellular aging. Additionally, its richness in ginsenosides gives it inhibitory properties on the expression of metalloproteinases, enzymes that degrade collagen, thereby protecting collagen fibers and demonstrating their relevance in preventing the effects of aging.
Kale Extract (INCI: Brassica Oleracea Acephala Leaf Extract): This anti-radical ingredient strengthens and maintains the skin's antioxidant defense system to increase its resistance to oxidative stress. Indeed, it protects cells from oxidation to limit the impact of free radicals on the skin.
How to use this product?
The third step in your skincare routine, this fine and light cream is preferably applied in the morning. Indeed, it is during the day that the skin is particularly subjected to oxidative stress (pollution, UV, etc.). On clean and cleansed skin, a dab of product is enough to provide the skin with a real shield and protect it from daily aggressions. It is applied evenly over the entire face and neck using light circular movements. However, although it is rich in antioxidants, this emulsion does not contain UV filters and therefore cannot replace a sun care product.
